The Buda Fire Department is always on the look for well rounded, enthusiastic people to join our team. 

The main thing you need to make sure of before considering a role here at the fire department is time. While the personal satisfaction in a job well done here at the BFD is tremendous, the training required to become a firefighter or first responder is considerable, and never ending. In addition the actual calls will take you away from your families and other activities at unpredictable times. At times, you may be put at considerable self risk due to the nature of our duties. If we haven't scared you away yet, read on.

If this all sounds like something you'd be interested in, we have a few basic requirements:

• You must be 18 years of age or older

• You must have a valid drivers license, and be a U.S. Citizen

• No previous felony convictions

• Must be available the Second and Fourth Monday's of every month from 7pm - 10pm.

• Must complete the BFD cadet school.

• Reside in the Buda Fire District (or close to it)

If you meet the above requirements we invite you to fill out an application. You can stop by the main station M-F from 8am-5pm, or on the Second and Fourth Monday of every month at 7pm to pick up an application. You're always welcome to sit in on one of our training meetings.
