Emergency Medical Services

HAYS COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT # 2

The Buda Fire Department provides EMS service to a 75 sqaure mile area of Northeast Hays County. EMS service is funded through a combination of tax dollars from Hays County ESD #2 and revenue from patient billing. The Buda Fire Department staffs two MICU ambulances 24 hours/day operating out of Stations #2 and #3. A third ambulance is kept at Station #1 in a "ready reserve" status and is staffed as call volume dictates.

The EMS Division practices under the medical oversight of Dr. Larry Miller. Our practice utilizes a progressive set of medical protocols and offers the latest advancements in EMS technology. We employ electronic patient charting to ensure the accuracy and security of patient records and use a computer based inventory management system in order to control costs.

EZ-IO Intraosseous Access
Continuous waveform capnography
CPAP
